    new znith versus old stromberg

    Hmm. Good Morning.
I have been offered a new zenith at a very good price. At the moment I have an old srtomberg on the 2a.
Whats the opinion on these 2 carbs?
One good point would be a straight fit to the manifold. New parts. Unsure about performance tho.

    Thanks in advance
    Will.

if your offroading go with the zenith while it doesnt let the motor reach its full potential it will preform superbly offroad without any hassles due to the wierdo angles we tend to get landies on...

its a little asthmatic at full rpm and wide open throttle but I generally dont drive that way so its not a problem for me (oh and diesels dont have carbies..)

the carby rebuild kits for old strombergs should be available from most spare parts places, the oldholdens.com website has a lot of carby info, just go to the ....pedia line in the top right corner.

Also you can check on ebay a lot of those aussie online stores specialise in carbys and accessories.
