    cheers
Yeah, i am going to drop it out and take it into town to get it pressed in.

I have one more problem though. Firstly i dropped an allen key down into the box, thanks to one of those claw things i have that back (thank christ), but i am unsure if the nylon bush will fit underneath to get it back up through the yolk so i can put the metal clip on. I thought of undoing the grub screw and slipping the yolk off all together and doing it out of the car but i cant get the thing undone. Nothing will budge it, and all and allen key is doing is rounding it off, which i dont want to do. I tried one of the ones that goes in a socket but the little allen head is just twisting. Its damn tight. I will look at it in the morning, i may be able to work it up underneath if it isnt to big. Matt

Well job done. In the end we couldnt get the grub screw undone that holds the yoke onto the selector shaft, for something that is supposed to be tightened to 25nm it was to tight for us to get undone. We couldnt get the bush up from underneath so we saw no reason to leave the shoulder on the bottom as it was never going to move upwards there isnt room. So we filed it off and dropped it in from the top. Took it for and run and all was fine. Shifts better than ever. Matt

all rover grub screws are ment to have threadlocker on (well any that Ive bothered RTM for).. if someones used the wrong grade that'll account for the immobile grub screw...

heat is the answer... 300 degrees worth covers all except for loctite high temp thread/flange/pipe lockers and guess what... cold is the answer there. Not sure how cold but I know its in the -ves.
