Matt, done , will get it next time i'm over that way. Thanks

David, was looking at Adrians the other day, he was the one who told me to look for bigger rotors and space the caliper out to suit, will keep looking into it.

I have the same problem with my series I disco, slows up ok but I want it to pull up on a dime.

after going over all the threads in here (and there is a lot) and talking to various brake people my list is now as follows

    Stainless braided brake lines

Vented disks DBS appear very good (this is not so much for better stopping but for reducing fade under continuous or prolonged use)

    softer pads.

I also replaced all brake fluid at about 230K and it made a noticable difference.

I haven't written down the prices and added it up but it will be about $1K

not cheap but what price do you put on safety?

    Blythe

P.S. when I finally get around to it I will post my results, I am currently laid up so no driving or working on the old girl for the next month or so
