Replacing seats
Does anyone know if front bucket seats out of a later model discovery or range rover will bolt straight into a 1981 2 door range rover

I know that P38 seats wont bolt straight into a 4 door classic and assume the 2 door would be the same. I have a really nice pair of seats from a p38 with electric everything modified to run with out the control module if anyone is interested. The mounting into an earlier car would not be too much of a problem but the seats are just too wide to shut the doors in my car with the control panel on the door side of the seat and I have lost interest in modifying the seats to fit. they might fit into a 2 door though with narrower door trims.

You may have a problem with the seat belt mountings. The 2 door had very tough seat backs as they were part of the seatbelt system.
Legally you could have problems if down the track you wanted to sell it with a RWC.
Good luck,
Paul
