    Braided brake lines

    G'day all.

Part of my attempts to improve my braking on my '95 Disco/Bushranger.

Can anyone tell me where I could get these made up in Sydney?

When I tried my local pirtek to get longer brake lines for my rangie (not wire braid), they told be that I had to go to a place that was approved to make automotive brake lines.

Went to a brake and clutch place and they had someone in Sydney make what I wanted.

I have seen the Snake Racing adds for steel braid brake lines.

Just order them from www.discoparts.com the guys UK based and does TUV/ADR compliant lines far cheaper than prices mentioned.

    Or Paddock Spares http://www.paddockspares.com/sp/cate...scovery_1.html

    Goodrich they are! http://www.goodridge.co.uk/

In Aus they are available here:

I'd recommend Carters Brake & Clutch also.
Used them a couple of times.
    Great service.

But I suppose any reputable brake/clutch place will do.

    braided hoses

I've just been into the local agent for braided hoses.com for a quote for the defender. 3 hoses 1x rear hose, 2 x front brakes quote for the 3 $150 - $200. I know that there is a $50 difference but the length of the rear brake hose was an unknown. I had a look at the hose, teflon inner, braided stainless with a clear outer. and i would refit the plastic coil and rubber protection, looked similar to the ones I was looking at bringing in from Expedition Exchange but these are longer for lifted landies and i just want standard length

Has anyone bought the Goodridge hoses from Paddocks?

25 pounds seems like a good price for the three peice pack I'd need.

Are they ADR compliant? Goodridge is sold in Oz too so I'd presume so.
