my methods a bit harsh but works well enough..
making sure the backs empty so the sound wont be damped or caused by something else
start out by reversing slowly, while its still rolling backwards select first and then slip the clutch at idle...
you could also just pull on the handbrake...
then if you get a healthy CLUNK from the back end your aframe ball needs retightening or replacing depending on what youve got.
you can crow bar em but its hard to get one in that will find the movement while the vehicle has weight on the axle..
if you get a little clunk then its time to find a hoist and have a proper look.
