    German "Haze" Gel batteries

    Guys;

A while back I installed a Dual battery system on my tdi300 disco , last week I bought a new Deep Cycle Battery " Haze" (German Gel Battery ) due to my Champion Deep Cycle battery S****Ting itself ( one of the cells died ) and it's just out of warranty, Has anyone had any experience with Haze Deep Cycle Batteries , the Bloke at the Battery shop was saying they are almost identical to american Pulse Batteries,80 A/H batteries for an N50 , How good is that ? the 100A/H was an N70 size but I have to do quite a bit of rearranging to do in the front of the disco to get the N70 in there , Bugger that ? I'm even contemplating in installing a 2nd N50 Gel Haze in place of Starter Battery on driver's side for dual deep cycle, and then installing a starter battery right next to Fuse Box, Any suggestions , has anyone got a 3 battery set up without major Mods under Bonnet , I'd love to see Photos ! and Why do I need a Triple battery system May you ask ? Well Let me just start by saying that when camping in same spot for over 3 days in extreme Heat , and not wanting to carry a Generator and/or Solar panels, due to Size and Cost , and not wanting to trade in my Engel for an Autofridge ! Well that's Why ! okay?

I think the question is "how much are they compared to the Chinese"

I have had a 95AH N70 size Absorbed Power brand AGM battery for over a year.
At $259 I am very happy with it.

My $500 optima 55AH died after 5 years with an acid leak from the neg terminal and had dropped about 20% capacity..
    regards Philip A

    N70

Hi phillip , there doesn't seem to be much difference between the Price for the AGM N70 The Haze N70 , Haze N70 slightly more capacity Haze N70 = 100A/h , but to be honest with you , I never Compare Chinese with german,
but I was ecstatic that the N50 battery was an 80 A/H and it fitted well , also the fact that your Optima battery lasted for 5 years ( and I'm , I personally thinking you do a lot of offroading , is excellent considering that the Shelf life of the Optima is not much greater than of a few years , I have been looking for a Deep Cycle battery that would last for at least 2 days out in the Bush before topping up , I've no got the fridge hooked up all the time now to put in a slight load on the battery so that when driving around the city it keeps cycling and will hopefully last me a long time.

Funny, I just put "haze battery " into Google and guess where a picture of a nice factory came up.
    CHINA
    Have a look.
There is not even a German site for HAZE . Haze Europe is in the UK. LOL.
I wondered when you said they were a reasonable price.

If you decide Optima, PM me and I'll give you the current prices for club members that I supply to LRC-ACT members.

    Haze

    Captain Right Foot !

Here is the Official website for Pulse batteries,

    http://www.pulsehyper.com.au/phn50.htm

I was advised by the Salesman at battery World
that the Haze Gel Battery I Purchased is same as the Pulse Gel
and looking at the Picture the N50 Pulse looks exactly the same as the Haze

N50 so they may be badged differently?
