thats the injector harness plug, check it regularly for signs of the dreaded oil in the harness fault...

If you catch it here before the oil gets to the ECU you saveyourself a lot of dramas and will have easier flushing...

Im working on an adaptor that goes between the plug and socket to attempt to eliminate this problem.... (but its slow I cant find the plug + socket but my solution works)

unplug that end of the harnes, trace the loom undo all outer plugs esp the one on the ECU (black box rhf for the disco and under the drivers seat for a td5) and spray with metho/caby clean/almost any plastic friendly solvent let it sit then repeat till you think youve got it all...

pull the rocker cover off and do the same for the plug in the head side of the harness..

that ought to see you right for a while...

MY fix if you want to give it a go while its apart is to cut the wires at various distances from the plug so they cant short, solder in a link of enameld wire and then heat shrink it leaving a 1mm gap exposing the middle of the enameld wire..

This In theory should solve the oil migrating into the ECU and if it doesnt stop the problem it will make clean ups easier.

If the oil is getting through again there must be some wear on your o rings. Clean the injector harnes and get some new high temp o rings. I had a suppliers name in Perth that could supply them but have mis placed it. Should not be a huge issue just fin an industrial o ring supplier.

surely if they have just done the final inspection, and they didn't pick it up, you could get them to fix this issue
