Sounds similar to one of the canopies that we built while I was there, as we built a couple with screens on the windows for tradies and I helped fit one on a 130 tub and another on an alloy tray (that one was fairly tall), I only remember because I got to drive them into the work shop and test drive them afterward and I loved driving new 130's.

They looked at buying a 130 to tow the vans with there but was going to be too expensive

I went and checked and ours was made by Lowline and we have roof racks on ours.

Tried to attach a pic but it doesn't seem to be working at the moment ;)

A simple fix for the back seat is a piece of 40X40X1200 pine underneath the rear seat supports. It improves the angle of the seat for shorter people or kids. Not perfect but better than original.

With the roof bars I have two on the canopy. They have internal supports to take the weight but as Hiline said the front is ugly.

In the 3rd picture you can see my TJM canopy, lift up sides, it cost approx $2300 3 years ago (couple of hundred extra for the lift up sides). Can't really fault it, it still works fine, doesn't really leak, and best of all, with the front sliding window open; ABSOLUTELY NO DUST ENTERS.

I thought it sounded like one of ours.

So it looks like the only way to get a well fitting canopy that suits the shape and style (if a 130 defender could have style:wasntme: ) of the 130 is to have one custom made. Any suggestions on a manufacturer in SEQ? Rover who started the thread is away but will be back mid week. I think he would like to have something before Easter
