    Rangie rear diff guard

    Hi All

I am about to fork out the cash to have a rear maxi locker and 4.11 CW&P installed. I am now wondering if it is worth it getting a rear diff guard to protect my investment! I already have a small dent on the diff cover from sliding back into a rock. This dent is going to be repaired when the locker is installed.

I currently have a Rangie Spares front diff cover...just not sure if they suit the rear...especially with the maxi locker actuator installed in the diff housing.

Anyone use the graeme cooper rear diff guard?

    Cheers

Since the cover has to be repaired, there is an alternative, which IMHO is better than diff guards.

Get an 8" nominal bore, butt weld pipe cap, from One Steel outlets or other pipe suppliers. Weld the pipe cap to the diff housing in place of the damaged cover. Don't forget to add the socket for the filler plug to the new cover.

I am just doing a run of 20 diff guards which also incorporate a slider. I will see if it fits on the back of mine with the maxi drive

    rear guard

The front guard as is wont do the job on the back. Maybe in the future if demand is good I may knock out a batch of rears. I try to do a min of 20 as its the only way to make them affordable.

Steve $165 inc gst. I didn't copy the QT guard, its more a hybid of the Cooper unit and an old guard I used to make.
