    winch

    hey everyone i have a warn XD9000 and it doesnt go into freespool does what does this mean ?? it seemes to work fine but jst wont freespool. also i bought the car second hand does this mean the 4x4 was used in salt water ?? or can they jst rust by them self ?? regards Adrian

    Mine (XD9000i) did the same. Just wiggle a bit with the lever until it engages. Happens every now and then, probably the pevious user never used it and fed the line out using the winch motor.

    after a few river crossings they fill up with water and cant drain out any lower than the wire drums end bearings, IE they are 1/3 full. you will need to strip it down, clean and lube it. it will come right.
