    TD5 Coolant Change

    Hi all,
Im preping my TD5 for a coolant change and I was all a quandry as to what would be best to used. Many offered their explanation out here in Kingaroy, and was left a little perplexed.Cant trust these bush mechanics. So rang BOR and MR and both suggested tottally different products and both streets apart.
    1 suggested concentrate
    the othe suggested premixed.
So I went out and made up my own mind and bought "Tectaloy" Xtra Cool Gold concentrate.Makes up to 15 litres.
It was the choice of two auto shops and the were the only two who seemed to colaborate.
Could you guys help with your professional opinion.
    Cheers

    Hi David
I dont think that Tectolly is any good for the TD5,I normally use that brand in any vehicle Ive had,it didnt seem to say O.A.T when I changed my coolant. Its very important you get the O.A.T style coolant, usually a red colour.
Very important to thoroughly flush all exsisting coolant out before adding new.
Assuming you have good water, concentrate is the go as you cannot remove all the coolant out of a TD5,also the reason for PLENTY of flushing needed.
    Supercrap sell a concentrate,NULON RED LONGLIFE,about $25 for 2.5lts,you need 2 bottles.Better to overdose than underdose.
