    Bling Thats Usefull

i got some alloy troutbeck protection for my Defender look and weep !

    front veiw

    another front veiw

    rear left veiw

    rear right veiw

it was not just a bolt up up job you need a angle grinder the front steering protector would not fit untill i ground a little off the bull bar mount maybe 5mm

the diff steering protector wouldnt fit a slight grind where the sway bar should connect to the diff which i dont have sway bars so no probs

this is what sschmez should have after our trip last week

Weird, my steering guard bolted straight on, and the axle guard I had to oxy off the brackets on the axle housing, what year Fender is yours? Note to self read the signature before you ask stupid questions, my guess, its a 95.

Like the way you've filled in the lettering. I got the same kit from Len last week, haven't put it on as yet.

Also got some JATE rings to go in the front.

I've seen a few of the steering protectors (Not necessarily Lens ones though) bend the side brackets after the vehicle got hung up, but it is easy to bend them back with a crow bar. In this instance, it was bent right up to touch the steering drop arm, and was difficult to turn the wheel. It wasn't a problem to lever it down again and carry on, and just think of the damage to the steering box had the vehicle perched on the drop arm!!! A good bit of armour to fit me thinks. Take a good sized crow bar with you in case you need some 'adjustment'.
