I notice that the EGT was measured after the turbo - lower EGT when the turbo is boosting more and higher EGT when the turbo is boosting less - when the gases are effectively bypassing the turbo and going straight to the EGT sensor without dissipating any heat into the turbo and the manifold. Measuring the temps before the turbo might just change the result.
