    Supercharger identification

Does anyone know what brand or what vehicle this is off? I have been told it is a genuine landrover item but i am not wholely convinced. Any help that could shed light on its heritage would be appreciated. If it can be made to work it will be going on my 3.5 range rover / series 1 hybrid along with either a haltec or megasquirt injection system. This is my first try at posting photos so please forgive me if it has not worked.

This is all I could find

    http://www.expeditionautoworks.com/blower.asp

considering the age of the design of the Landrover V8 and it's many applications over the years the blower could be off anything from a Rover to a TVR

good luck, when you install it remember to get an industrial switch connected on the gearstick (like on mad max)

Correct me if I am wrong, but rover NEVER made a factory supercharged v8?

JE Engineering in the UK and Sprintex are the two biggest aftermarket rover suparcharging suppliers AFAIK.

Range Rover sports has a blown V8, but that isn't off one of them.

Its either an Eaton as fitted to Buick/ Holden V6's and others or a small Mercedes blower, my pick is Eaton.

also im a bit worried about how small the nose pulley is. this means it is quite under driven from the std v6 one(if its an m90)

the problem with this is the coating on the screws can get hot and fall off, loosing the compressors performance.
why was it sand blasted?? was it because the paint/coating had blistered from the heat??

you need to find out alot more about its history to be safe.

    cheers phil

Forgot about the eaton - probably right. I remember reading somewhere that you need to be careful with the setup on those, that the slow is distributed evenly to both banks.
