I don't want to labour the point, but I find it hard to believe that an electrical contact point that is soaked in oil won't hinder the signal. There's also another post on the site that suggests that the pins themselves sometimes don't have good contact with the female connection and suggests turning the pins slightly to improve the connection. A freind of mine has this wurth stuff , Im unsure what its called but he tells me its $45 for a tube then plus the applicator , Anyway its plyable in the tube but once in open air it will cure to a hard plastic.
The story is i got a new loom and pryed the connector plug apart and filled it also all the injector plugs ,
I guess time will tell .
Oh by the way my loom is still the original from new and yes it does seep through to the ECU but has never caused any dramas:angel:
It might not be an issue if the problems only emerge after 12 months (although it does amuse me how many items some Land Rover owners happily accept as 'service' items...they all add up after a while!) - my concern is when oil coats the plug pins within a month and whether that is a problem...and I'm a bit surprised that noone seems to be able to answer that :confused:Quote:

I did remove the seal at the ECU plug.
It has been this way for at least 12 months and the car runs fine.
