bought an electric one from Zenith Engineering. Tacho $195 Sensor $119.70. Sensor replaces a plug in the bottom of the injector pump, simple electrical hookup. Genuine Isuzu items, tacho is 85mm o/d x 110 deep, reads to 4000.

In my rangie I'm using the alternator terminal, through a home-made frequency-voltage converter to the stock rangie rev counter which was monkeyed to work on DC.
A simple pot on the frequency-voltage converter circuit board allows adjustment.
