sorry think i may of asked this before

    hi guys

i'm sorry if i have asked this before, i can't remember whether i did or not (senior moment)

does anyone know where i can get carpet to relativly match the carpet i allready have in my discovery (beige/caramal interior)

i have some sub boxes i want to cover and a shelf, and i dont want it to stick out like a sore thumb so want it relativly in keeping with the rest of the car.......

but trying to fin these things out are allmost impossible i got a number for a carpet supplier to a place in sydney but they are about 9 hours drive away from me so not really worth the drive i dont think

    can anyone help?????

    thanks

...just get on the dog and ring some local carpet people, dullbird

i've acquired many 'short ends' for jobs like you describe, for not much $$.

even got a good new end roll of (very hard to find?) black carpet once upon a time for just one phone call, (to a bloke 5 ks away) and a case of beer - did the floor and sides of my old transit van....

...rather than a perfect match, make it a toned contrast, car carpet is umm, 'average' but there's millions of feet of house carpet laying around...

Look up automotive or boat trimmers, they will most likely have what you want.

unfortunatly marine carpet is all well and lovely but not enough variety of colour as my interior is like beige/ well more like caramel really and when you put the marine beige carpet up next to it with what you think looks like a match they are nothing alike in fact my carpet seems to make beige look almost pink

maybe i need to wash my carpet

i just want to get a closest match possible

i have emailed a few autotrimmers and they just say they fit the carpet they dont sell it and only one has put me on to there supplier which is to far away from me

Umm, why not just try a wrecker? Surely you don't own the only Disco with that carpet in Australia.

    Cheers
