Thread: Does it have ACE

Go around a round-a-bout flat **** until the tyres let go, if you don't suffer from body roll (or just roll ) then you have ACE

Or just look for the rams that connect to the swaybars

or lift the bonnet on the left hand side u will see a oil reservior if it has two caps it has ace and you should see the extra hyd pump as well

As Stevo states,the ACE models have a double fluid reservior,one is for the ACE the other the power steering.
Look under the right front gaurd,the hydraulic ram is very obvious.
Hang out for an ACE equipped Disco,mine has it VERY IMPRESSED,you can punt it around bends like a normal sedan,little body roll.

Absolultely, don't miss out on ACE.

ACE equipped Landies are sooo much better than non-ACE equipped. Test drove on with, one without. Like chalk and cheese.

Active Conering Enhancement.
The swaybars have hydraulic rams connected,when sensors detect body roll hydraulic power is applied to the swaybars to stiffen them and fight the body roll.
LOVE IT,you can go pretty hard around bends with no body roll!!!!
Also has benefits off-road,no hydraulic power applied,alows further wheel travel than a non ACE equiped Disco2.

It works very well on S-bends, switch-backs etc, where it prevents tail-wagging and is a real stability control feature. There was an advert on TV for the D2 when first released where it was towing a Defender on a trailer and the D2 driver was swerving left and right and the D2 just sat flat and stayed totally in control.
