Has anybody tryed to remake the handles as this looks like the beta option ive sused the way there made and have a few ideas and will give it a go tomoro once the kids are off to school ..

    Cheers

A few other BL cars of the period had similar handles. TR7 & Marina come to mind.
Whether they're identical or not, I don't know. Might be worth a try if you get stuck.

Disco 1 are the same & I can't say I've seen a broken one in my time.

You don't need to repair them if you actually fix the problem......

You need to adjust the linkages correctly so the door is very easy to open, like XD-XFfalcons, once you do this correctly you wont bust handles

I can't say for sure but the RR & Disco1 were made at the same time so I would think they'd be the same.
The Disco1 is black while the RR is silver though.

Verry true but that wont help the ones im repairing as they have allready broken and need replacing ..

As for the linkages inside the doors they are fine its just that the handels have had sum abuse over the years and have fianly give up.. mine on grumpy are fine the pass side has been repaired before i got the truck previous owner said it had been broken when it got broken into once before
I was just after sum ideas on remaking them so il give my ideas a go and see how they work if good il make a few up as spares as the cast alloy handle is a pi55 poor design

    Cheers

Thanks. My RRC needs a new one for the front passenger door, so I might have a close look at a D1 one day. I can soon change the paint colour, or strip, polish and clear-coat as req'd.
