Yea I know, they are made for the cold, but mine has only played up in the cold, so work that out.
Funnily enough, I was in town today talking to my local enzed man , finally i will get those bloody leaking hoses fixed, he told me he couldn't work out why a car engineered for cool climates would be sent here, thats why the hoses fail, our ambient temp is too much for them. Then went on to tell me he would average 3-4 repairs a month on tdi's but lately he was down to one a month, and that is in Lismore total area population of 48,000. His repairs must be good.
anyway dull one he got a laugh out of your territory marking moniker.

Fitting the fuse turned out to be a coverup of a larger problem - the alternator was stuffed. Suggest you check the alternator output should be 13-14 volts.
