just as an example of a silicone bend off a 300tdi outlet:
A picture tells a thousand words - the bend is 52mm ID, whilst the outlet is 50mm OD with a lip (which is 52mm OD). Silicone being different to rubber, when you attach it, expect a slightly different fit. I suppose it has somthing to do with not expanding like rubber will over time. Realising this at the time of putting it on, I then used the heavy duty hose clips pictured (I think they were 54-56mm size - top hose takes 58-60mm clips). The normal jubilee clips weren't up to the task. When compressing the silicone hose, make sure all surfaces are clean and dry - watch for slipping of the hose off the outlet if greasy. Tightened as you see above, they are good for at least 6mths without a problem - at which time I clean and re-assemble anyway. That pipe bend is now 2 years old, the clips 18mths.
ps: I had to trim both ends of the bend down about 1.5cm so the tube would line up with the intercooler - you may or maynot want to do this.

They're the 'PERMANENT TORQUE" type if im not mistaken....?
most performance shops sell them and charge like a wounded Bull, But you can get them from most Decent Bearing/Fastener retailers...
They are the business though, AND..they don't dig into and chew up the hoses like an ordinary hose clamp can,
Good clear pic Langy,

................That's right, you just twigged my memory, remember where i've seen them here in Bris now........QDS .

CBC Bearings is where I got mine - they were about $5 each.
