    Water pump repair

The water pump has a leak. Noted a rust stain on the ground and can see water slowing leaking on a drain hole in the pump body.
Is it worth using a repair kit and replacing the seals or are these throw away units?
It is from a 3.9 turbo diesel 110 land rover.
    Thanks. David

So you have the 4BD1T ?

I have a 4BE1, next gen after the 4BD1. New water pump was $110 about 3 years ago. Cannot remember where from.

Ment 4BD1 not the turbo. The manual shows a water pump repair kit but just wondered if it would be a waste of time and just buy a new pump.

the pumps a doddle to rebuild if you have a press and its not too badly corroded
