    CALLING ALL 300TDI DEFENDER and DISCO DRIVERS

    hey people

    big pain i know but please help a friend out!!!!

    i need to get as many 300tdi drivers as i can to pull off there 90 degree elbow from the turbo and measure the outlet pipe......

    i know you might be thinking can't be bothered but i really need to find out whether there is a difference in sizes between any years

    as i have a silicone hose kit and the elbow is possibly to big i maybe be able to get this changed for all the kits but i need to first make sure every 300 is the same size before i do this............

    so i beg you please take ten minutes of your time tomorrow undo your jubilee clip and measure the outside of your turbo outlet pipe

    once you have done that could you then post back on this topic with your size, your car model and the year...........

    it would be greatly apreciated, i would buy you all a drink if i could but i cant afford it so please do it for a friend!!!!!

    (if you can measure with vernier guage even better)

    I measured 2 for you. 95 disco and 98 disco.

    Both were the same. 50mm dia where the hose clamp goes, with a 52mm dia lip at the end.

    49.95mm where the clamp goes
    52.2mm lip

    I recently fitted 51mm silicon hoses, both elbo & straight
    Manufactured 9/95 Tdi D1. No ECU
