    Disc Machining

What should I pay to get the 2 front discs on a Series 1 Discovery machined?

    Cheers

Last time I had it done (about ten years ago) it was $50 for both. Measure the thickness of the discs first though, to make sure they are not undersize. From memory the wear-limit is stamped on the periphery of the disc. New discs cost about $70 ea, depending on where you shop,

The front discs were done about 6 months ago, on the Falcon, and were done 'on car' for $80. Made a big difference!

Well one guy is $215, another $170 (mobile guy) and another $110!

Surely newies would be an option at these prices?

I picked up a pair of good straight fronts of fleabay for $36.00 not that long back that are nearly brand new.

Apparently off a wrecked disco or something, probably someone off here, if so Im wrapped anyways.

What area of the world do you live in as I could get you some numbers of outer east Melb blokes who would do it cheaper than that and Im sure if your not from down this way someone can help you as those prices a crap, very crap.

Ive never paid more than $50 a pair to get them ground on any car including the landy so keep shoping around or did that include pads and a bleed or something.
