    toyo tyres

has anyone had any experiance of the toyo LT tyres that came out late lasy year? 10 ply construction I think.

thought I might get these or wranglers. I did a search of this site it seems the reports on toyo tyres are mostly of the slightly older ones.

Can only report on the Toyo OPAT LT in 235/85/16. These replaced my BFG AT's which were from new.

3 months and 10,000km. Very happy with wear and performance. On gravel roads and sand I have found them excellent.

So far done heaps of offroad and do not even have a chip, or any sign of use.

Can also report on Toyo H/T Open Country in 235/85R16 - done about 15,000ks, mostly on roads and am very happy - much quieter than the original General Grabbers, which lasted just over 90,000ks, more stable in gravel and expect to get 120,000ks from them (or so the dealer reckons). They work fine in sand but we haven't had much rain around here to try them out in mud, which could be their undoing given the tread pattern. About $250 each, as I recall...

Cant comment on the LT version but if they are as good as the Opats they will be ok. I have a set of Opats for road tyres and they are very very good.
