    Exclamation 'Smoking' air con?

    Gday folks,
    my girl's on her way to Healsville in the disco and has just called to say the air vents are blowing out smelly smoke!
    Any ideas, anyone??

    I doubt if it's smoke, more likely to e condensate - it would be pretty humid just now with all the rain, and the smell is just from the crud / dirt / bacteria that builds up on the evaporator coil.

    If you can ask her to run it without the ac on just fresh air blowing through - does it still blow out 'smoke' - if it does I am wrong and I would need a bit more info.

    but if it doesn't I would guess my theory would be right.

    and in that case the 'smoke' will just go away when the humidity drops

    PS If I am right I'll send you a can of our ABS (anti bacterial spray) cleans all the sh1* off the evap.

    probably condensation of some sort - air cons do that sometimes....

    It can also sometimes be smoke . Leaves get caught around the resistor block for the fan and start smouldering. Happened to me in a Kingswood, I don't know if it is a potential Rover thing.
