    Will this transfer fit?

Got access to buy a LT230t which has a new set of input berings and new input gear to suit the lt77.

As far as i know i've got the R380 as it's a '96 Defender... so will it still fit or does something have to be done to it?

and yep i know about the 1.4-1.22 ratio change.

I think it will fit. My Rangie has an LT77 gearbox, with a Disco II transfer case. No worries.

It will fit but be warey of the addition perehperial locations such as the diff lock linkages (if fitted) the orientation and gearing of the speedo drive (save the take off and drive gear from your existing tcase) wear gloves while you manouver it in as they have sharp edges...

    Best of luck.

Also make sure you check the dowel locations carefully. Some stay with the gearbox and some with the t/case (whichever is tighter) when they are split.

The risks are: missing dowels, or 2 dowels in the same location (which will stop the joint closing).
