    Disco Tdi Expansion Tank

    who recently replaced their ex tank, supplier and price please, yes i have just discovered the dreaded coolant bubbling out the side of the tank

    Karcraft wont have any for 6 weeks, they have sold 120 since Jan ! British off will have one to me on Monday with new cap so i will have to leave the cap loose for the weekend and check the level. Must be some way of sealing my leaking tank ? I have a bottle of loctite 501 and it that wont glue it nothing will.

    Presume the tank is the same as that on a 300TDI Defender ?

    If so, I bought a white one last week from FWD motors in Brisbane for $75

    I know you are in Melbourne but it may be an option or at least help validate your price

    The white expansion tank is the upgraded replacement for the dud design/manufacture black tanks which inevitably split at the join.

    For a temporary fix, you can plastic 'weld' it using a soldering iron.

    there are cheap white ones that crack and the dearer good white ones that supposedly dont crack, just because it is white doesnt mean it is crackproof..
