Sounds dear enough Karcraft charge for the Valeo clutch kit. I would be happy to pull a gearbox out and put back in for $1000.00 6 hours work at the very worst. its a good hourly rate

    Cheers

Yes though it sounded a bit dear as well but at least it is being done by someone who knoes what they are doing. Anyone else care to divulge what they paid or would expect to pay for the above?

Whats yours doing in order to be fixwd????
Mines been "wailing" whilst cold(first 2 or 3 shifts) for 12 months or more.Made some interesting chirping sounds tonite, the sort of sound you dont want to hear when you are off on a holiday trip next friday.
Im thinking the pilot bearing is ill!!!!! but only when cold(is there a god up there???)

Well the spiggot bearing has been wailing for some time now in mine. When you hold the clutch at say half you get a wine which disapears when clutch is released or pressed fully. Also clutch has been slipping for a while to the point that when towing the other day and pulling off up to road speed, if I gunned it too hard it would slip and car would just rev slightly till I backed off. Been doing this for sometime now as well so figure it's time to change it before it lets go on the side of a rock face 3 hours from home

It's only just noticble when cold. Will see how things pan out. It's done 223,000 kms so should probably get the headgasket and dowls done before things get ugly.

Yeah I am on the limit of Characters for Signatures. Will have to inquire about getting it extended a little ways.
