    is a 300tdi and a TD5 chasis the same?

ive found some side steps on ebay, i reckon they have been bolted to a TD5 defender and im keen to know if they would fit on a 300tdi defender.

    Should fit fine.
My steps came secondhand and they were not specific for a TD5 Defender.

im thinking i should be right but i want to be sure before i fork out the cash.

here is the description on ebay

    Tubular Side Steps TombRaider style.

Standard steps for the Defender feature a steel, black vinyl coated bar with a non slip aluminum tread plate step. The step mounts to existing chassis points.

I bought the side steps from Tombraider's TD5 Defender for my 300Tdi. The fitted perfectly, all the holes lined up exactly.

yes, no , maybe, IT will depend on the exact bolt up of the steps...

ones that are factory complient should switch freely between ANY defender. Aftermarked ones, your guess is as good as someone elses.
