Just be aware that the brand that Supercheap stock in thermostats is Tridon (from memory) and when I compared a Genuine LR one to what was listed as the correct one had the hole that opened when hot about 30% less in crosssection/ area, which would limit the maximum flow possible!
Can't you just cut the centre of it out as a temporary measure - thus having max. flow and cooling available, but not going through too fast to work/actually cool.

Repco supposedly had one in stock but the wrong one was in the packaging it was only a 44mm in place of a 54mm
.
The good news is that the Land Rover one is exactly the same dimensions as the one out of my old 351 ZD Fairlane, The Landy is a 88 degree and the Fairlane was a 82 degree, it worked better than the old one.
The temp guage is all over the place at around the 1/2 to 3/4 mark temp fluctuates heaps between stationary and running but never drops below 1/2.
I am due for a new radiator, I will see if that fixes it.

Might try Autobarn/autopro etc. Thermostats are often common between numerous vehicles. I was surprised to find the one for the 3.9 is also used in old Geminis and a few other cars.
Never know your luck.
