    '03 ARB BAR Fitted to '01 D2

    Hey Guys

I have a D2 '01 ES disco and have been offered a '03 arb front bar, Have been told by arb that the mounting points on the '03 was changed so wont fit an '01. I know the lights are differant but has anyone or does anyone know if the bar can adjusted to fit an '01. I'm not worried about the front having the dips in the lights to match the '03 what i'm after is to see if the crush cans and mountings are the same or can modified slightly.

I have seen a DIIa bar on a DII, i think you need to trim the panels below the headlights slightly other then that it fits as far as i know. I wanted to do this myself as i liked the ARB safari bar they had for the DIIa but in the end found a cheap ARB deluxe bar instead.

    Hey Bolts..
    I have a D2 with a D2a Sahara(little avatar) Bar fitted which i did mainly all myself.
ARB just mounted the bar to the chassis rail & i did everything else, even removed the original, they werent very helpful at the start & said afterwards that will fit only as long as u prepare everything else (basically remove all components as long as they didnt have to touch anything apart from there steel bar work)
The Guy at ARB is talking....well u know what..
The Chassis is identical & the only chnages made are suspension components & other things i cant recall at the moment.
Things u will need to do to fit.....
Buy a D2a Front grill (wrecker or new-not that dear...amazing)
    washer jets & springs clips to mount( " " " ")
Cut down the under headlight plinths that slide into your original grill, remove & measure & cut to suit & then mount by drilling hole in top & fit speed clip under for screw to go into.

If i didnt get the Sahara Bar i would be wearing a G4 colored Orange Deluxe Bar..They ended up finding one for me

If u have any more questions feel free to ask.

Thanks sniegy - your bar looks great and will have to look at changing to a sahara bar - went to look at bar and found that it is not an ARB but a TJM bar which i dont personally like - so i'm having to look around again, to find a bar.

I was asking them at ARB about this about 6 months ago and they were going it won't fit at all. I was saying yeah it will. The chassis is the same and they would not have any of it.
reminds me of a shop in Southampton which was called south Coast wheels but we used to call it south coast Kev's . But to it was the place that kev's in their Barinas would go there for all there boyed up stuff. But they used to do some good fuel lines and caps . Usefull for bob tails and Hybrids. But the sales people used to say Nah that won't fit a Land Rover. The manager used to always say to them , they have a Land Rover Belive me they will bodge it to fit
