Over the last 100,000km I've got 11.2/100 pretty consistantly. As the defender hasn't been used as the daily driver for most of its life (has been for the last 3 months though) most of this travelling has been trips and hence fully loaded.

I have a 2000 TD5 Disco and get about 9.7L/100km
Highway driving at 110km/ph is actually not as flash, around 90km/h appears to be the most economical. (standard tyres fitted)
I was getting a consistant 11.4l/100km. Recently blown out to up to 12.6l
10.5 - 12 is a pretty good guide for our td5 fender. When used off road for light conditions about 13 up to 20 in the Simpson.![]()
See my post "Went for a drive" 28/3/07 in General Chat. Unladen on highway, just me and an overnight bag is usually around 9.7l./100k or 29.4mpg. Worst economy since purchase was 10.98l./100k or 25.9mpg, heavily laden with lots of climbing. Mixed use around town with some short on-highway running is usually in the region of 27-28mpg.
