Only the later "long nose" defenders with UK fitted A/C have fans.

mine is a 99, and I believe a short nose as I had a lot of dramas fitting an aftermarket intercooler which simply slots into other fenders with the front panels further forward. Anyway, have now had the viscous fan rplaced and a/c not getting condensation around the ports now. still going to get things cheked though. thanks Ladas for the info, has increased my knowledge on a/c.
