    ADRs are not retrospective, so if the vehicle was legal with bar treads/cross plys when manufactured, then it is still legal now.

    There is a rule in most states that you cannot fit cross-ply tyres to vehicles that weren't fitted with them from the factory. But cross plys were a factory option right up until the end of the SIII AFAIK.

    Armstrong Tyres in Ballarat can also source Bars, I got some 600x16s for tractor a little while ago and they werent all that expensive, i think around $120 each.

    I'll edit this post with the number but Im sure it's listed.

    600x16 are a fairly easy pickup, 750x16 is another story....

    i have 10 for sale, all used and in varying condition, mixed brands if anyone is interested... some even have wheels with them
