D2 Rear Door Lock Issue

I'd be really interested in how you do that. When my rear lock failed the dealer's technician unpacked my rear seat, pulled out the cargo barrier and went in that way. If it happens again I'd like to know how to do it. Couldn't find your method in the workshop manual either.

No good on my 01 D2 either. only access was from inside, I popped the logo off but no go. Must be different rear handles available:confused:

Maybe you could pop the rear logo off then drill carefully a hole to squirt some lube in and glue the logo back on. Then smack it with some runners and maybe it would work.

Thanks for the heads up with this problem. I sprayed Inox in there the other day and now the rear door closes with out any effort like it was new. No need to try and close it with any force anymore. So hopefully this will never break.
