    seat belts

I need to replace my drivers seat belt in my 86 Rangie four door it is seriously twisted i have taken it apart and untwisted it but just keep doing it. Is it okay to try and pick up: a second hand one or can i get a generic new one that will fit.

    Thanks Mark

It twists because the bolt at the bottom of the seat where it is anchored rotates. Just make sure you don't give thet pivot point a twist each time you use it and it won't twist. If it does, it's an easy unravel without pulling anything apart. - Hopefully this will save you time & $$$.

There is a seat belt replacement shop near Belmont forum on freeway they also for fat blokes like me sell extender belt kits like you get on airplanes that just clip into existing belt to make sure no matter how fat you are you wearing a belt.

Unfortunately reality says your weight will exceed belt limits under stress and strain of accident and belt will let go but at least you dont get $500 for not wearing a seat belt

Not sure whether they do re-conditioned belts

L doubt it from a standards point of view on belt safety

but to get mye xtender strap was $30 from memory cheaper option than paying for longer entire belt

thye are near that place that sells patios and cubbie houses going towards orrong road on left hand side
