    Ruff runnig 02 TD 5

    Wife was driving into Brissy when the car started to run on only 4 pots .Drove home later on all 5 for awhile then on 4 .Replaced the wiring harness for the injecters and bingo ,all fixed .Cost of the loom was about $170/180 and $60 odd to fit it .Had only done 130,000 kms so I was not impress with the breakdown but was told it was pretty common and the parts were gettng better

    Hi Mate
    Unfortunately a very common recuring problem!!!!
    do a search,heaps of info on it here!!!!!
    Best to flush the rest of the engine loom with metho if your mechanic hasnt,helps remove all the oil and prevents it from causing further issues.

    yep i have just had the pleasure... took out the ecu to get it tweaked... and found oil..

    all is good now... harness partially flushed (shall keep eye on it) new injector harness installed and new rocker gasket, just got to wait for the rest of the oil to flow down the main harness and check the rocker gasket for leaks ... oh and go on a run in it to check out the enhanced ecu (just waiting for silicon to dry....)

    unfortunately a crappy thing to happen.. although mine never showed any issues like yours.. and unless the harness is sealed (as shown on plenty of posts on here) im pretty sure it will be doing it again some time soon... still its one of the less expensive things to go wrong!
