    LRA springs in D1

I just fitted my LRA springs Friday night.
I went with Greens up front & Purples in the rear.
Usure of rates I went for slightly heavy up front considering I only have a steel bar and no winch, but possibly dual batteries soon, and to allow for any sag. As far as the rears go I figured I will be adding Polyair bags so kept to moderate rates. I also removed the rear sway bar while I was at it. There is no difference to sway on road or off, if anything it is better. The flex is MUCH better. It now goes where I expect this car should.

Anyhow, I still have a less than cosseting ride, but the more I drive it & pay attention, the more I curse the crap Old Man Emu gas charged shockies. It feels over damped to me rather than over sprung but I'm not 100%.
Koni straight oils are the plan but not on the financials just yet (building the new house sucks up most of our coin for the next little while).
Is there any kind soul out there who has an old set of standard shocks about to go to the tip that I could try in it to test this? I'm not game to try it with no shocks fitted for obvious reasons. BTW are OE straight oils?

If I want to drop to a lighter spring LRA give 3 wks to make up my mind, which is why I paid the extra for their springs to have that option.

    cheers

On a Disco without a load leveller, I think you have it spot on.
I checked a pair of OMEs on my Range Rover because of their harshness.
I think quite a bit of it is the hard urethane bushes, which seem to transmit a lot of "harshness" more than the rates.
I went back to Sachs/Boge OEM type and am very happy.
I have LRA Green in front and Orange at back.
    Regards Philip A

    thanks Diff I'll PM.

Yeh I feel it is pretty close to the mark just want to be sure while I have the chance you know. It flexes well enough and yet feels pretty good on G outs and faster stuff but just doesn't have that sublety you expect of a Rover, feels like a damn Troopy.
