This is really going to illustrate how little I know about Land Rovers so I hope someone will humour me and set me straight.

On my transfer case just to the left of the hight/low/4wd shift level is a thinner level that just flops around on my box. I have no idea what this lever does. Its less than 1/4 inch diameter has a yellow knob and appears to just push in a detent on the top of the transfer case.

Is it a lock to engage low or something ?

mmmmmmm thats to engage 4wd in high range just depress it and to disengage you have to stop and shift into low range and it will pop up
