    Dicovery Body lift

    hey all, just woncdering what is involved with body lifting a discory series 1 or 2. is it the same as most other 4wds or is there things a should be aware of?

    Aslowhile i'm here, what can be done about s transfer case lock on a series 2 that didn't come with 1? what models didn't come with them, thnaks

    Helped a mate of mine do it to his D1 here in Sydney, 6hrs total, he bought a kit out of the UK, came with spacers, bolts, low range lever / radiator extension etc..plus instructions, we had never done it before and it worked out fine, just need to get the steering shaft thingo sorted and certified...

    It is illegal to do it to the series II because any vehicle fitted with SRS airbags cannot be fitted with a body lift kit which is a pain
    disco seriesII mods so far:-bullbar,hyd winch,
    detriot locker,lsd front,C.D.L kit,chipped and bigger intercooler,2" lift,rock sliders, lsd in transfer case, modified auto trans.

    Why would an auto be any different, it is actually easier with an auto.

    And as Stevo said, you can't legally instal a body lift on a D2......or a D1 if it has SRS

    very short shifter on the auto. Thought that might cause problems. 2 Inch lift and it would be under the floor.

    On disco the shifter is body mounted and cable operated.
