If you are in Sydney, Pick and Payless at Blacktown currently have both a 90's RR and a 95 Disco that still have their transfer cases intact. (As of Sunday..) The RR has what appears to be the Borg Warner Transfer case with the viscous coupling and the Disco has the standard LT230 ( Buying a normal LT230 is the better idea) . Since you have to do the spanner work, the $$ won't be too bad but still figure around the $400 mark ( I've never asked, it's just a guess)

    Hi langy
    Im down in tassie.
I have purchased a couple of trans cases that require rebuild, I will rebuild one of them for my rr but want to put a new coupler or rebuilt one in. That way when I do the change over I have a fully rebuilt unit and not one that may need to come out sooner than later
    cheers

For a second hand one, try Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide.
