I 'm not sure if this is the same elsewhere in Oz but ARB in Perth has shed its excellent service department. A few times recently I have been told that 'we are not making that any more'. The stock seems to have shrunk too. Is there a move to manufacturing offshore, a change of ownership or something else that anyone knows about?

    nope - Spudboy is correct.

I have exactly the same winch as Spudboy - Warn XD900i - even with the nice Land Rover badge!!!

The mounting is vertical - not horizontal like my High Mount, as the bolts mount from under side of the bar and mount vertically to the bar not horizontally to the fairleads.

All depends on how you look at it I suppose - the bolts are vertical on the XD9000i but the the bolts are horizontal on most other winches

The bling bar is too special to cut up!!!

    G'day SpudBoy,

THX for your pix of your bar - I have exactly the same LR XD9000i winch!!!

I looked at a 2002 D110 yesterday, but could not see where the winch would mount - did you get an extra fitting kit? I did not see any places to bolt the winch in a downward way - just the usual fairlead method.

Any chance on any pix of your bar from underneath?

    THX in advance

LRH - took out the camera to get an underneath shot for you, but there is nothing much to see.

Because the bottom of the bar is angled, and the winch needs to sit on something flat, I had a 'V' shaped bracket made up by my mechanic to sit behind the bar (supporting the base of the winch).

The bolts go through the bottom of this bracket into the winch, and the bracket is welded into the behind of the bar. You need to take the bar off of the car to do this, but that is not difficult apart from the weight of it all.

It was a pretty simple job for him. Can't give you a cost because I had other work done at the same time - sorry.

Therefore, I would imagine it would be an ARB bar.

According to the parts listing, it does has provision for the winch.
Factory Bar is NOT and ARB bar in any way, shape or form...

It has a local part number (RAA602) so someone out here makes it for Land Rover.
I know in the past ARB have designed & made parts for Land Rover Australia to be sold as "genuine" parts so I assumed it might still have been the case.
