sorry i posted this in the wrong section.
Ok so i just bought some 15" rims for the rangie, was told they were 15x8", guess what - theyre 15x7" anyway, the tyres i ordered for them are goodyear wrangler MT/R 32" which are either a 11 or 11.5" wide tyre, i was told 11 by someone, but the website seems to say 11.5, my question is, will either of these tyres fit on a 7" rim, one rim has a 31x10.5 on it now and it looks as though a wider one would fit easy, though reading in the BFG brochure (one i had on hand) it says recomended minimum tyre width for a 11.5 is 8"
Anyone?

i am chasing a simlar rabbit...
would love MTR's, they dont do a 33x10.5x15 only 33x11.5x15
3 leading tyre places said not to fit 11.5 on 7 inch rims, but i have seen plenty in car parks...

10.5 is usually about the limits for a 7" rim, though it varies per tyre manufacturer. 11.5's I'd be looking for 8" rims.

They'll be fine, I've run 33"x12.5"x15" tyres on 15x7s for long periods and its all apples![]()
Could be an insurance issue there, fitting a tyre that is not recommended for the rim size but the 33" tyres are legal issue anyway. (Talking on-road here)

Thats exactly it, there is a difference between it fitting and voiding your insurance.
