Slightly higher idle and oil on intercooler

On the weekend i found an oil leak coming from half way up the intercooler on the drivers side of the car, i couldn't actually find the soarce but did notice it wasn't coming from the engine or power steering, is there any other places it could be coming from in that area, maybe the transmission cooler, it's a manual TD5 Disco.

It also has a slightly higher idle at around 850rpm, it normally idles at 700 to 750rpm.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

I had leaks everywhere in the Tdi Baz, in the end it turned out to be the oil lines, land rover make them so that the ends can swivel but the leak after a while, check all of them and if they are leaking rip them off and go into Pirtek or something similar and have them remade the proper way, mine havent leaked a drop in 40000km.

I would like any opinions on the higher idle too, anyone with a TD5 had this problem.

is your intercooler leaking?? the orginal ones would leak around where the tanks are crimped onto the core and the oil would be from the crankcase breather leaking out the cooler, mine was the same oil around the cooler
disco seriesII mods so far:-bullbar,hyd winch,
detriot locker, lsd front,C.D.L kit, chipped and bigger intercooler,2" lift, rock sliders, lsd in transfer case, modified auto trans.

Well most of the oil was on or near the intercooler on the drivers side and i did notice some coolent around the same area, not a great deal of coolent, but enough oil to be concerned, i will be checking the levels once a week just to be on the safe side.

If i end up having to replace the intercooler might as well go the bigger one.
