    Wheel options?

Hi everyone. I am looking for some new wheels and tyres for my IIA 88.

    I would like to have 30x9.5-15 or 31x10.5-15 I haven't decided which.

I have a few tyres in mind, but I can't seem to find any decent wheels!

I am looking for 15x7 or 15x8 steel wheels, preferably in black, but I will paint them if I have to.

What are my options? Please show me what you have! Thanks

Thanks The reason I ask, is that I've been to all the wheel/tyre shops I can find, and none can source any wheels for my Land Rover. It looks like you're running 8 spoke wheels? What brand, and where did you get them?

I also have no idea what will fit my IIA. I will only be lifting it slightly, 2" at most. It has 205R16's on it now. If 31x10.5's will fit, I'd like to go with those....

    Gday,

Perhaps not new, but there are MANY wheels floating around, often with good tyres attached! Find out the PCD and offset that you want, then check out ebay consistently, looking for tyres of the size you want. IE simex, Goodrich, etc. You will find often hilux owners buy 31"s for an offroad rig then decide togo larger, and sell both wheels and tyres often close to new. Otherwise, the classified on the 4wdmonthly forums contains some good choice time to time.

Even for rims, use Wheel Wizard to find other cars with similar wheels.

    cheers!

My wheels are mangels brand sunraiser rims 15x8 with a 30 or 50 mm off set you shouldnt have any dramas with the wheels your talkin bout tho id source a set of disco 1 rims as they willfit and run a 255x85x16 or a 235x85x16 but its up to you ...

As for what fits series/rangie/county/defender/disco 1 are all the same stud pattern tho they have different off set so you have a fairly wide choise id go with disco1 rims as there 16x7 and theres lotsa different size tyres available or go for sum 15x8 sunnies

Thanks for that. I would prefer 31's, anything more is a bit too tall for the 2.25 to turn, isn't it?

You say 30 or 50mm offset, is that positive or negative offset?

Dauntless, I had some 15x7's on my 109, running 31x10.5's. They come up all the time on ebay, I mean ALL the time! You do want a bit more offset (and positive or negative apparently differs depending on the system used - you want them set with the rim 30-50mm OUT or the hub the same amount IN relative to standard). In reality, anything with the right PCD will have a good enough offset.
