I've had the same issue with my D2, noticed it on the Holland Track when wanting to push the pace a little. When I came to a rut the suspension had lowered again - 40kph seemed a bit slow to lower back down again.:(

Does your D2 have air??
With the D3 it can't catch you unawares because it keeps making the bloody annoying 'boing' between 40 and 50, warning you to slow down.
I haven't found it a problem on bush tracks. I have to keep an eye ahead on the track for obstacles, critters etc; so generally have plenty of time to slow back down and raise her up again.
Watch the track ahead and read and choose your ground.
