Dont worry about a reply, just rang the guy to have a look at it and he sold it last night after I told him I would take it but was waiting to get a day off etc......![]()
G'Day All,
I might be Looking at a Warn XD9000 today that a bloke in our club has for sale.
Just wondering what I should be looking for ie anything "warn"![]()
and any other stuff to look for when buying a 2nd hand winch?
Im not sure how old it is , maybe 5-6 yrs but it hasent had much work at all, done more pulling small stumps out of the ground than hard 4wd recoverys etc.
Comes with everything exept a fairlead and a org earth cable, both of which he is using with his new warn 10,000lbs winch.......$500 Good Deal or not????
Oh and he is the type that pulls the motor off every few months to grease it, he is anal like that.so its been looked after very well.......

So you told him you'd take......waited to look at it...... then asked if it was worth it, so you could change your mind??![]()
Quick or the dead...
I know the guy and the winch, but need to confrim with the boss re cash, but would have taken it anyway as its is Local saving postage costs etc.....As Im a shift worker and ive been working lates I was waiting for a day off to do the deal, It was only 3 days since we spoke about it.
I guess people's word isnt worth much any more.....money is more important to some........
Know the feeling, but selling parts, etc.. you do become annoyed at people dicking you around as well. Unfortunatley you got the rough end of the stick on this occasion bu I know what you're saying.
Not to worry, you'll probably get a better deal next time around
