I just use plain old engine oil. According to the manual 10W/30, 10W/40 or 10W/50 depending on your temperature range.

One tip for the LT95 is to know where the filler is for the Tx Case.
There seem to be varying models.
All the boxes I have, the filler is on the top.
Some have them on the side, or on the back.

    Filling the gearbox is easy.
Well it is if you have a pump.
I have one of those hand pumps that screws into a 5L container.
Much better than the syringe method.

I always filled my LT95 thru the shifter hole, just 3 bolts to undo.

bloody hell, don't use engine oil, use a proper manual trans lube and don't use an additive.
Do a search to find out why, this comes up all the time.

Careful Rocky4.4 the Manufacturer recommends engine oil and the largest user of these transmissions the Australian Army use Castrol Diesel oil.
Do a search make your own decision but DONT put EP90 in it.

I recently put Morley's oil stabilizer in my lt95. It is now running quieter than it was.

Use the best ENGINE oil you can ..HPR 30 or similar and YES do add some Moreys' app 1 ltre to gearbox and 3/4 litre to transfer.
I did this with mine and it was quiet and smooth and did over 250k when I sold it (on the reconned box) and is still going great.

Who on this thread has recommended EP90 ??

engine oil was originally specified as there were no 70w/75w-80/85 manual transmission lubes available at the time.
An example of lubricant improvements is that ATF was originally specified for the LT77 and R380 gearboxes until Land Rover issued a service bulletin overiding this in '97 and specifying MTF94 as the specified and retrospective fill.

FWIW, engine oil tends to shear quite quickly in a gearbox application, and synchro performance usually isn't the best.
